Speaking to Hundreds of Leaders this Morning on Hovde Catching Baldwin: Many already concluded Wisconsin could decide the Presidency, but I was contacted Tuesday to speak to the leaders of hundreds of conservative organizations this morning on why the Cook Report just moved the Eric Hovde vs. Tammy Baldwin to “Toss-up”. Just 75 days ago right after Faith and Freedom’s national prayer breakfast (and before we started distributing comparisons) Fox News reported that Baldwin led by double digits and despite her outspending him dramatically since then HBO Axios just posted the piece Democratic fears emerge on Wisconsin Senate Race. Another report from President John Pudner’s former employer indicates Baldwin’s own polling now shows Trump leading Wisconsin by 3.
Any ONE canvasser we cannot fund keeps lit from THOUSANDS of church-goers who need to be persuaded to vote. Despite our limited budget, our ability to reach crucial targeted voters at less than $1 per voter—compared to the $5.50 per door being charged for most canvassing—stems from our strategy of utilizing paid team members to canvass as well as delivering lit requests every day needed to leverage a combination of volunteers and church distributors. We get requests for thousands of pieces of lit every day. Any leader we can no longer fund this week will need to move onto other work and not come back if a contribution comes a week or two from now to cover them.
