Updates from Wisconsin Faith & Freedom Coalition as We Close Out 2024
As 2024 draws to a close, I wanted to share a few exciting updates from the Wisconsin Faith & Freedom Coalition (WIFFC) and provide ways for you to stay engaged in our efforts here in Wisconsin or nationally as we head into the new year.
Upcoming Activities & Ways to Stay Connected
1. Like Our Facebook Page
We’ve just launched a new Facebook page for those who prefer updates through social media rather than email. You can follow our activities here: Facebook Page Link. Recently, we posted the video pictured above from a victory party out west where investigative journalist James O’Keefe took the stage for some dance moves to show he is more than just a great investigative journalist. I had the privilege of attending alongside Steve Bannon (who went to my high school) and two others who were youth friends with each other – Kash Patel and Vivek Ramaswamy. We encourage you to check it out!
2. Fox News Radio Monthly Appearance – January 2
I’m excited to announce that I’ll be marking my third year as the national monthly guest on Fox News Radio. On Thursday, January 2, I’ll be introduced for the first time as— a Senior Advisor to the Faith and Freedom Coalition. I hope you can tune in!
3. Board Meeting – January 28
We’ll be holding our 2nd Annual Board Meeting on Tuesday, January 28, in Green Bay. If you have any input on issues you’d like us to address, or suggestions for our priorities in 2025, please let us know before we finalize our agenda. Key topics include the upcoming WI Supreme Court election on April 1 and potential new hires, such as a Pastors Director and Field Director we would like to promote and make full-time. If we don’t raise sufficient funds for these items, we may focus on more limited efforts, including lobbying at the Wisconsin State Capitol in alignment with the issues outlined in my recent blog post: Reflections on 2024 Wins & Path Forward.
Since publishing that list, we have been asked my many to add a big focus to school choice efforts. Having won school choice fights in Georgia, Louisiana and California, and even almost beating the New Jersey Education Association (they used their $48 million budget to barely win that one 11th hour to put lots of Catholic Schools out-of-business), we are happy to add a big focus to helping the incredible School Choice Wisconsin team anyway we can.
Exciting News: We’re Debt-Free!
I’m thrilled to announce that we are debt-free! Thanks to the generous support of the National Faith and Freedom Coalition and our amazing donors, we were able to deliver over 400,000 candidate comparisons in Wisconsin in our first year. However, this entailed me personally taking on a lot of debt to cover the gap.
In fact, we raised more money to retire our debt in the weeks following the election than we had raised throughout the entire campaign cycle! We are deeply grateful for your continued support, even though we keep your donors confidential.
If you’re interested in making a tax-deductible donation before the end of the year, please reply to this email, and we’ll guide you through the process, or click for donation options. We’re also happy to connect you with the right person if you’d like to discuss focusing your support on either Wisconsin or national efforts.
Upcoming Travel & Events
I’ll be traveling around the country in the coming months. Here’s a quick overview of my schedule:
January 6-7: I’ll be in Madison, focusing on the Wisconsin Capitol as we finalize Supreme Court candidates and lobby for WIFFC.
January 18-20 – DC-VA supporters: I’ll be in Washington, D.C., for the Inauguration.
January 21-22 – NJ-NY supporters: I’ll be in New York/New Jersey.
February – GA-AL supporters: I’m finalizing a trip to Alabama/Georgia for a “Grandbaby and Business” trip 🙂 so let me know available dates – generally Wednesday afternoon through Saturday works best for family.
March 15 – NJ-NY supporters again: You’ll receive my annual basketball bracket update, which culminates with my March 10-15 trip to Manhattan before heading to Madison Square Garden.
Preview of what to expect March 15: Recently, CBS/247 published my story pictured below ranking the top college basketball dynasties of all time and I posted my breakdown of the 60 greatest college basketball players of all time. Spoiler alert: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is still number one even though I’m still reading every Substack email he sends out hoping one day we will agree on something besides sports! These pieces have garnered attention, and maybe I can be the SPORTS reporter version of James O’Keefe!
Thank you for your unwavering support. As we move into 2025, your involvement is more crucial than ever. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or would like to discuss how you can continue to support our work.
Wishing you all the best to finish out a great Christmas and New Year!
Sincerely,
John Pudner
