WIFFC Update New

With just three weeks until the April 1st Supreme Court election, the Wisconsin Faith and Freedom Coalition (WIFFC) is in full-court-press mode. Every day dozens of door-to-door canvassers distribute thousands of candidate comparisons to conservative voters at homes, and we just reordered as we will run out of our first 100,000 via additional distribution at churches and events like the four mentioned at the bottom of this blog. This is the same grassroots effort we used during the presidential election last November, that many say played a key role in the outcome.

Why is the Wisconsin Supreme Court election so important? If you haven’t already, take a look at the recent Wall Street Journal article that called this race the most important in the nation because it could determine which party controls Congress.

Our focus in the coming weeks is to continue to blanket the state of Wisconsin using our grassroots door-to-door and church outreach strategies. In addition, with the help of people like U.S. Congressman Troy Nehls (R-TX-22), a Beaver Dam native, and his brothers Trever and Tyler (in Kenosha County, where he kicked off efforts with our Kenosha-based team member Joshua Naponiello to kick off efforts this week), we are leveraging our grassroots strategy with focused conversations with individuals and groups across the state.

In addition, we’ve added two new team members to operationalize key strategies in fundraising and community outreach (see below).

How can you help? We need financial contributions to continue to fuel our machine. While our candidate comparison handout is extremely cost effective – printing is just 4 cents apiece – we need to pay our people in the field to continue distributing them. For each $10,000 contribution, we can reach an additional 10,000 voters! It’s that simple. It’s that important. And time is of the essence. To make a tax-deductible contribution, please click here.

New Team Members Hit the Ground Running

Kristi Felber, Director of Fundraising and Donor Engagement, joins WIFFC with over 30 years of experience in strategic communications, marketing, branding, and fundraising. As the founder and owner of the consulting firm Beaumont Day, Kristi has worked with faith-based organizations across the country in healthcare, social services, and education. Passionate about WIFFC’s mission, Kristi is dedicated to advancing its impact. She and her husband, Mike, reside in Elkhart Lake. She extends her heartfelt gratitude to Congressman Troy Nehls and his family for their dedication to WIFFC’s nonprofit efforts. At her first WIFFC meeting in Milwaukee on Friday, Trever and Troy Nehls shared their ideas on how the organization can reach more voters leading up to the April 1 election. In addition to sharing their insights, Trever and Troy are playing a valuable, hands-on role engaging with key groups and voters and securing donor support for WIFFC throughout the state.

Dr. Virginia Pratt, Director of Community Outreach, knocked on 1,000 doors and reached out to Milwaukee churches in her first days after taking over community outreach for WIFFC. This effort built on her lifetime of restoring hope and providing opportunity for those in need. She is a former Probation and Parole Agent for the State of Wisconsin and a pivotal figure in addressing youth violence and domestic violence in Milwaukee. Dr. Pratt teams up with former gang members and ex-convicts, facilitating transformative sessions at the Alma Center, where they mentor at-risk youth. She helped with EXPO Wisconsin, where, every first Wednesday of the month, she met with former inmates who shared their personal stories to teach conflict resolution and instill self-worth in young people. Her commitment is rooted in restoring hope, providing opportunity for those in need, and breaking the cycle of violence and incarceration. Dr. Pratt is helping to change lives in Milwaukee’s communities. Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

WIFFC’s First Radio Ad to Launch on 24-hour Gospel Station

WIFFC’s first radio ad will launch in the coming days, and we hope to place on stations such as the region’s only 24-hour Gospel station (WGLB – AM 1560/96.1 FM) urging listeners to click on our candidate comparisons and consider five key issues before voting on April 1. The ad conveys the message that voters can support strong immigration enforcement—protecting residents from threats like Venezuelan gang members—while also caring for local youth who may need ministry to build better lives.

We are excited to supplement our door-to-door and church outreach efforts in Milwaukee with this targeted radio strategy. It is based on WIFFC President John Pudner’s history of producing and placing ads with Gospel stations dating back to successful elections in Alabama in 2003 from which Campaigns and Elections Magazine lauded Pudner for securing 68% of the vote in both inner city Mobile and rural Alabama in the same election.

Here is the radio ad:
