Wisconsin Leads the Way to Stop ActBlue

President Trump concluded his post-Labor Day press conference today—five years after he posted about our efforts to stop ActBlue’s process for moving billions of dollars. Click on https://www.realclearpolitics.com/authors/susan_crabtree/ to see Susan Crabtree’s upcoming latest story on our new state legislation to stop this process.

RealClearPolitics—the outlet whose polling is called the “Dow Jones” of American politics—was the first to ask if Congress would close this loophole for donations to national campaigns. Crabtree’s reporting helped spark Wisconsin Congressman Bryan Steil’s investigation, which ultimately led to the resignation of seven top ActBlue officials. Now, the first model state legislation to close this process also comes from Wisconsin, the state that will host the most crucial state legislative races in the country in 2026.

Our work at Wisconsin Faith and Freedom Coalition remains stronger than ever. After attending national events, we’re back home, focused on Wisconsin’s priorities.

For 10 years, even before we formed the Wisconsin Faith and Freedom Coalition, our team has educated on the dangers of the unverified billions of dollars being processed through ActBlue to liberal causes. Now 19 Wisconsin legislators have introduced the first state legislation in the nation to stop this process. Despite Steil’s investigation, ActBlue processed another $481 million in the first six months of 2025 (beating their average $372 million per six months).

While some in Wisconsin are discouraged this week at a State Supreme Court retirement, it really is all about the legislature in Wisconsin. Even if liberals control two branches of Government, unless they flip the Assembly next year conservatives can stop progressive legislation, and if liberals also fail to flip the State Senate either then conservatives can continue to pass Constitutional Amendments like the ban on Zuckerbucks that did not require the Governor’s signature and cannot be overruled by the State Supreme Court.

Visiting National Leaders who Came to Milwaukee

This month, our team attended a farewell event honoring RNC Chair Michael Whatley, who will now run for U.S. Senate in North Carolina. We joined leaders from all 50 states, not merely as attendees, but to thank him for Chairing the 2024 RNC Convention to Milwaukee—a moment that spotlighted Wisconsin before the nation.

It was also a meaningful moment of reciprocation: months after welcoming over 1,000 leaders to the Pfister Hotel—where Senator JD Vance delivered the Faith and Freedom Coalition’s breakfast address—we joined Chairman Whatley for the Thursday luncheon with leaders from all 50 states – where JD Vance spoke once more. It was a reminder that Wisconsin’s leadership continues to resonate—and our team is back here to remain rooted in the communities we represent.

AB 385: Wisconsin Leading the Nation

Wisconsin continues to lead on reform—authored and championed right here at home with Assembly Bill 385.

This legislation, born from our 2015 white paper, is now before the Wisconsin Legislature, backed by a powerful coalition of:

  • 14 Assembly Representatives: Murphy, Tittl, Behnke, Brill, Dittrich, Goeben, Gundrum, Knodl, Kreibich, Maxey, O’Connor, Penterman, Wichgers, and Armstrong

  • 5 State Senators: Tomczyk, Cabral‑Guevara, Feyen, Quinn, and Wanggaard

AB 385 targets the billions of untraceable donations flowing through platforms like ActBlue—often attributed to donors labeled “unemployed” and raising concerns about foreign or unverifiable sources.

Our solution is simple: enforce the same basic verification standards used by every online business—CVV codes and billing address matching. During Steil’s investigation this year ActBlue stated they would finally check this information as a company policy – but company policies can change back just as quickly. Let’s simply make it law.

Focused Back Home

Now that we’ve returned from national events, our focus is squarely on Wisconsin. From AB 385 to voter education, we remain dedicated to defending the integrity of our elections—one legislative win at a time.

A Speech on Critical Issues

Our speakers offer deep insight into today’s most urgent policy fights and grassroots strategies that are shaping the future of center-right organizing. From election reform and voter turnout to parental rights and school choice, we bring real-world success stories and lessons learned from both the front lines and the back rooms.

Topics can include how we’ve advanced conservative policy—even in deep-blue places like New Jersey and California—and how we’ve won more campaigns than anyone else when being outspent by more than 3-to-1. Whether it’s breaking through with Hispanic, Black, or young voters, or walking audiences through our latest wins in swing states like Wisconsin, our presentations are always data-driven and action-focused.

We cover how to stop overreaching liberal school boards and bureaucrats, and how to fight back against activist judges pushing Lawfare goals—an effort that reached its peak in attempts to prevent Americans from voting for President Trump by imprisoning, bankrupting, or removing him from the ballot through judicial activism.

We also address stopping illegal immigration that fuels human trafficking, fentanyl deaths, and violent gang activity—issues that hit close to home in communities across the country. And keeping men out of women’s sports, restrooms and even prisons.

Hear about the ground game that led to Restoration News citing our work as one of just three national success stories in the 2024 cycle link to article, with detailed quotes and strategy breakdowns.

We’re happy to tailor remarks to your audience—whether it’s a policy group, church leaders, campaign volunteers, or national funders. Past talks range from a 2017 Silicon Valley session with tech executives (back when Elon Musk was just the 20th richest man in America) to getting powerful candidate comparisons into the hands of thousands of targeted voters at just $1 per voter reached—five times more efficient than typical commercial efforts.

Let us know if you want a deep dive on winning over lawmakers after the campaign ends, how to run an effective church outreach push, or what’s working with third-generation canvassers in swing counties across America—or ask us to go deeper into one of the past issues covered in any of the dozens of headlines from past media appearances and speeches written about at wisconsinffc.com.

Q&A on topics like parental rights, limited government, election reform, and the future of center-right organizing. including why Restoration News featured WIFFC as one of 3 success stories showing the path to conservative victory.

Don’t Fund Noise. Fund Movement.

Your Donation Can Change Conservative Turnout for Years to Come

A permanent campaign requires permanent commitment. Your investment today builds the foundation for victory tomorrow.

TV ads disappear in 30 seconds. Field operations create voters for life.

WIFFC proved it in a pilot in Ashland County—delivering a 10-point conservative swing by investing in year-round grassroots organizing.

For major donors, a $50,000 sponsors a field director:

 Builds trusted church-to-voter networks

 Trains local, faith-driven volunteers

Drives voter engagement in overlooked areas

Outperforms million-dollar ad blitzes at a fraction of the cost

For smaller donors, a targeted voter is reached for every $1 given; one-fifth the cost of paid canvassing operations. $500 = putting turnout lit in the hands of 500 more conservative voters who too often stay home in close election races.

Don’t fund noise. Fund movement.

Every day we wait, the other side builds.
