Cap Times Quotes Pudner on Wisconsin Governor’s Race
The Cap Times quoted John Pudner on the Wisconsin Governor’s race in this story.
When a reporter mentions the work for Mitt Romney, we do like to specify just what we did for Romney — which was flying to Wyoming for a few months to serve as his campaign manager for the state. We still consider it the toughest race ever undertaken. We won over 67 convention delegates — out of the most conservative couple thousand people in the most conservative state — for Romney after he had served as Governor of Massachusetts.
The topic of the day, of course, was the Wisconsin Governor’s race taking center stage, which we covered on the 501(c)(4) site Freedom and Family Action – https://freedomandfamilyaction.com/news/ .
Here are the quotes from us, under the headline:
How the Crowley vs. Tiffany battle for Wisconsin governor will look
“Anytime your nominee had just over 60% of your own (party’s) voters vote against them, that’s a real concern for them, and they’ve got to get on it,” said John Pudner, president of the Wisconsin Faith and Freedom Coalition, a conservative political group based in Milwaukee. Pudner is a former aide to President George Bush, and previously worked as an adviser for Mitt Romney’s 2008 presidential campaign and as political director for Tim Michels’ 2022 gubernatorial campaign.
“There are a lot of new voters who were enthused about Hong,” Pudner said. “There was a little bit of Obama ‘08 about her, just as far as the crowds, the enthusiasm, parades, and a lot of those are new voters who are kind of in shock.
“Are they really going to get excited about Crowley?” Pudner said. “I don’t know. That’s the big thing they have to overcome.”
